In a statement, NAC said the winning universities received a grant of P100,000 each during its first-ever Sustainability Contest to work on research projects that will enhance environmental practices and promote responsible utilization of natural resources using science-based techniques.
The Philippine Nickel Industry Association (PNIA) announced that it is reviving its offer to help draft an industry blueprint in collaboration with government to make the country’s nickel sector globally competitive and attractive to investors.
The Philippine Nickel Industry Association, the largest grouping of nickel industry players in the country, said promoting predictability in regulations and ease of doing business are critical paths to succeed in accelerating the growth of the mining industry.
PNIA is delighted to share that Nickel Asia Corporation, Chan C Mining, Kafugan Mining Incorporated, and Ipilan Nickel Corporation have joined the association to support our efforts towards responsible and sustainable nickel mining operations.
The webinar will discuss the SDG report of PNIA and the association’s accomplishments in line with sustainability initiatives and programs.
