PHILIPPINE NICKEL INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION FORGES PARTNERSHIP WITH CHINA’S INDUSTRIAL ASSOCIATION OF POWER SOURCES

Philippine Nickel Industry Association (PNIA) led by Chairman Emeritus Clarence J. Pimentel, Jr. (fifth from left) signs a Memorandum of Understanding for strategic cooperation with the Power Battery Application Committee of China Industrial Association of Power Sources (CIAPS-PBA) held in China recently. The MOU sought to promote avenues for cooperation, networking, linkages and possible joint venture and investments among PNIA and CIAPS-PBA member companies as well as provide a platform for possible collaboration on the development of a nickel industry roadmap that would highlight linkages and opportunities for the power battery sector. Among those present during the signing of Memorandum of Understanding were:  (L-R) PNIA Executive Director Charmaine Olea-Capili; PBA Secretary General Yu Zhang; CIAPS Secretary General Yanlong Liu; DTI Commercial Counselor to China Glenn Penaranda; PNIA Chairman Emeritus Clarence Pimentel, Jr.; EVAP President Edmund Araga; PBA Senior Consultant Fei Liu.
