CNC turns over learning facilities

Carrascal Nickel Corporation (CNC) successfully turned-over two big Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) projects under the Access to Educational Support Program.
 
The formal turn-over took place at the Carrascal National High school and the Caglayag Elementary School. The events were attended by CNC employees led by Resident Manager Lester R. Marqueses, Municipal Local Government Unit (MLGU) spearheaded by Municipal Vice Mayor Jessie James T. Valle, 13 Punong Barangays of host and neighboring communities, teaching staff, beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
 
 
The Construction of Computer Hall and Laboratory with Computer Set and Table has a total project cost of Php5,146,084.68. The project aims to benefit 1,282 students and 56 teachers across 13 barangays.
 
 
The Construction of One (1) Unit Classroom for Kindergarten has a total project cost of 1,400,000.00. It will benefit 62 pupils and 4 teaching staff in Caglayag.
 
These projects were completed in December 2019 and funded from the last year’s social development and management program. The turn-over was originally scheduled last March but due to the threats of pandemic, the activity has been rescheduled.
 
The completion of these 2 projects have brought a big impact to the Carrascalanon students and teaching staff. These projects will help them experience quality education while providing them with a conducive learning space.
