PHILIPPINE nickel ore shipments this year could decline by a fourth to at least 30 million wet metric tons from last year’s 40 million WMT owing to lower global prices and tighter competition posed by Indonesian exports.
The Philippine Nickel Industry Association (PNIA) and its seven-member companies said it has planted over 4.2 million trees in Caraga and Palawan as part of ongoing progressive rehabilitation and reforestation in several mining sites.
